If you find that purchasing a CD cabinet for storing those D VD's and CD's is too expensive than why not make your own. All that's required is that you have a leveler and wood ruler that extends for taking accurate measurements and the rest is pretty much a straight forward process. If you would like to find a video tutorial then go over to U-Tube for a visual demonstration. As stated before.. all that's required is to make sure all measurements are correct. you will need 8 sheets of plywood these will need to be marked and measured. Now lay your first piece down and mark out 6 by 14 inches in the shape of a rectangle, do this to another piece of plywood so you now have 2 that are identical. Take another 6 pieces of plywood measuring 6 by 12 in the same shape (rectangle).
OK take another 2 pieces of your plywood and mark and measure them at 41 by 13 inches these will be for the front and back of your CD unit. Using a electric Band or wood saw start to cut your rectangle shapes from each plywood,once you have done this gently sand smooth the edges of each plywood, and now you are ready to fit each piece together.

If you go to your local hardware store you can easily pick up a set joiners that will secure each piece together, ask at the counter to be sure you purchase the correct joiners. Doing this method cuts out a lot of unnecessary measurements if you were to do it another way. Take the first 2 pieces you measured in the beginning and place them upright grab one of the larger pieces and place on top and fit the joiners Using your leveler to keep things straight and flush and following the instructions as necessary that come with the package. Take the next 6 cut pieces and and taking two place these for each side, you should be able to cut the joiners if too long.Place the joiners on the inside so as not to be seen. Now you can fit the shelves one for your D VD's and another for those CD's,the choice is yours as to how you place each shelve.
